WELLSBORO – During the Neumann Knight’s win against the Wellsboro Hornets Monday, Davion Hill took the title as Lycoming County’s lead scorer.

On January 2, the Neumann Knights defeated the Wellsburg Hornets with a final score of 70-62. Davion Hill led the team in points with 34 points bringing him to a career total of 2,107 and breaking multiple records. 

The previous Neumann scoring record was held by Brad Litchfield, with 2,081 points. 

The previous Lycoming county record was 2,106 points, held by Jim Nolan for 37 years. 

Hill tied and broke the Lycoming County record by making 2 free throws with 55 seconds left in the game. 

After the game, Hill was treated as a celebrity with kids lined up asking for pictures and autographs. 

The Neumann boys celebrated an away win against Montgomery on January 4. The final score Wednesday night was 59 to 31.

The Knights play again tomorrow against Holy Redeemer. The away game begins at 3:30.

There will be another away game before a string of home games on Monday, January 9 against Hughesville.
